What is your passion in ministry? |
My passion in ministry is to be used of God — whether it is through music or another avenue, I want to be used of God to bring honour and glory to His name. My parents have reminded me numerous times that when they dedicated me to the Lord that they also dedicated the gifts God has given to me. It is very important to me that I use my gifts and talents in the church. |
What qualities do you bring to your ministry? |
I am an Elementary Teacher who taught Kindergarten through Grade 6 music for 17 years. I enjoy children, enjoy directing them in discovery and seeing their excitement for life. I also worked at Rosebud School of the Arts as accompanist on and off stage as well as being a piano and theory teacher. Of course, working at Rosebud means you get a taste of EVERY job from cleaning to serving. I know the value of being involved in church, community, work and family. |
Tell us about your family. |
I grew up in Barrhead, Alberta which is where my parents still reside. My brother and his family live in Okotoks which is such a blessing to have family that close. |
How did you get involved with BVCC? |
Bow Valley found me! I was working in Invermere, BC and seeking God’s direction for my life when He orchestrated a meeting on a warm, Monday afternoon the end of July which has lead to this incredible journey. A good friend suggested that the opportunity for service would come from a place I would never suspect and he was right! The journey has had twists and turns which keep me close to my Father. I love the adventure of living for Him because you never know what’s just around the next corner! |
