Faith statement
As a congregation, we are dedicated to the worship of God, sharing the Good News with our community and obedience to the Word of God. We believe:
- that Jesus is the son of the living God (Matthew 16:13–17)
- that Jesus died and was raised from the dead so that we might have eternal life (1 Corinthians 15:3–4)
- that people must accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour in order to live forever (Luke 12:8–9). This includes: believing in Christ (Mark 16:16); repenting of your sins (Acts 2:38); declaring Christ as Lord (Romans 10:9); being baptized (Mark 16:16); a commitment to Christ-likeness (Hebrews 6:11,12)
- that the Bible is the only authoritative, inspired, written Word of God (II Timothy 3:16)
- that the Holy Spirit indwells the life of the believer, gifting them for ministry and developing in their lives
- the character of Jesus (Acts 2:38)
- that Christ will return to judge mankind and introduce His heavenly Kingdom (Hebrews 9:28).
